The Information Centre has guides, leaflets on hotels or general information about visiting Wolverhampton and the local area.They can also advise you on events, performances etc

Places of Interest
Wolverhampton and the West Midlands region have a lot of interesting places to visit.
All of some access features for disabled people, but some are less accessible than others.
Those run by local councils tend to have better disabled access. Most galleries and museums have at least partial access, but some stately homes and National Trust properties have more limited access. more>
Cinemas
There are two cinemas in Wolverhampton. The Light House and Cineworld.
Both cinemas show some films with audio description (a descriptive soundtrack assisting visually impaired people) or subtitles (for deaf and hearing impaired people).
Not all films come with these facilities. more>
Performances
Wolverhampton has 5 principal performance spaces:
The Grand Theatre and The Arena Theatre, both of which put on occasional signed performances, and have accessible features;
the Civic and Wulfrun Halls which put on band and music performances, comedians etc, both venues have some access difficulties, but they will provide support for people with assistance dogs, viewing platforms etc;
The Newhampton Arts Centre which hosts community theatre and other events.
Sport, Health & Fitness
The city has quite a few venues for sports and fitness, from rifle shooting, to swimming, to team sports, or gym exercise.

Public Libraries
Wolverhampton City Libraries have resonable to good access.
All have internet access, using computers that have access software.
Most libraries have some aids to help users with impairments, the Central Library has more facilities such as the Brierley Big Reader, which will scan a boo and read it out to you.
The Libraries also have half term events, reading groups, story time, performances etc.
DASh
DASh is a disability arts user led organisation, running arts projects across Shropshire and other areas, including Wolverhampton.
It aims to promote and support disabled artists and disabled people interested in the arts also to promote and support disabled people as an arts audience. It runs arts workshops and projects, to undertake research and to deliver training. It also promotes and run events that include all members of the community.
